CRUK Clinical Advisory Panel

The Clinical Advisory Panel

Thank you for your interest in the Clinical Advisory Panel. Recruitment is currently paused but check back soon for updates.

In 2018 CRUK launched a new Clinical Advisory Panel made up of 15 clinicians from across primary and secondary care, who provide regular clinical advice and consultation on a range of topics.

We are now establishing an associate membership of this panel. The associate membership of the Clinical Advisory Panel will be a virtual forum to strengthen the clinical input into some of CRUK’s core activity and decision-making, with discussions and consultations sponsored by Professor Charles Swanton, CRUK’s Chief Clinician, and his team of senior clinical advisors.

Associate members will receive requests to advise CRUK in an ad hoc manner, responding to email consultations or other requests relating to their specific area of expertise, as well as being part of a vibrant virtual community of clinicians.

We are seeking clinical representation from a wide range of fields from across both primary and secondary care to join the Clinical Advisory Panel as an associate member.

As an associate member of the CAP, you would have the opportunity to feed in to the planning and decision-making processes of CRUK, ensuring we are informed by the latest clinical considerations and insights from the NHS front line. There is a broad range of potential activities that the CAP may be involved in, some of which may include:

  • Giving feedback and providing a clinical steer on proposals and emerging strategies
  • Helping to carry out ‘user testing’ for any written materials or tools CRUK has developed
  • Providing intelligence or case studies to support and inform our policy calls
  • Inputting into our plans to influence others and helping us be more vocal regarding the NHS

In 2019, this is likely to include providing input into CRUK’s approach to the cancer screening review, as well as a new CRUK initiative looking at shaping the future of cancer care.
You can get involved in as much or as little activity as you wish.

Thank you for your interest in the Clinical Advisory Panel. Recruitment is currently paused but check back soon for updates.
