Giving just £5 could help towards the cost of kitting out one of our research labs with the essential chemicals our scientists need - the bread and butter of day-to-day experiments.

Giving £15 could help our scientists carry out their ground-breaking research in the lab. You could cover the cost of a polyacrylamide gel, which separates out different sized bits of DNA and reveals vital clues about how to beat cancer.

£30 can help improve treatments for patients with prostate cancer. It takes just 10 people donating £30 each to cover the cost of a trial for a day. Finding out, for example, if higher doses of radiotherapy can be used, while minimising side effects caused by damage to surrounding tissues.

8 people giving £50 each could buy a research tool at the forefront of revolutionary science and life-saving discoveries. £400 buys an exome sequencing experiment, helping to find out information about our DNA , so our scientists can find cancer-causing mutations.

5 people giving £100, could help thousands of people through a very difficult time by giving them someone to talk to. £500 covers the cost of running our Cancer Chat forum for one day.
